We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

So amazing… The most beautiful part of this is how he has noticed something in nature that seems so simple to look at, but to recreate is almost impossible to imagine and achieve. Makes you think about how beautiful in all its intricacies the world really is. We take for granted what happen with ripples and fail to see how mind bogglingly complicated they really are.
the world is a beautifully complicated place

I’m the one that has to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life, the way I want to

What’s interesting is that most icelandic people cant tell what Jonsi Birgisson (the lead singer) is saying because he has such terrible diction. I was traveling in Iceland in July this year with a friend from home and two friends from Iceland, and i was asking them about the lyrics to all my favorite Sigur Ros tracks and they could only tell me some of them. I think its because he elongates words that are usually spoken very quickly whilst putting them in falsetto so the pronunciation is all messed up. so the beauty to this statements rings true even in Icelandic

I really get inspired by nature and the colour green. So lately i have been going a bit overboard with decorating my room. I have a bunch of fake plants already as well as several art works depicting plants and nature, but now I intend to buy a pot of Devils Ivy and start creeping it around my room. Hopefully in the future my walls will be covered with the stuff. Seriously my room will look like a jungle, how awesome would that be :D

wicked cool… ill totally come back and play with my old school bands once im famous :D
Poor quality, BUT this is from the concert with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and his old High School’s Jazz Band that I have been girl bonering about for the past few days. Listen and love it.
The flute solo is absolutely amazing, and makes me get misty eyed every time I hear it. Serious card. Brings back memories of my flautist days.
(PS I could totes play that part, and I may try and figure it out over break)

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]First song that i will share with the world: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Home
I think the lyrics to this song are perfect. Describes my relationship with my girlfriend really well. The feeling that you get when you hug the person who gives meaning to your existence makes all other places in the world feel like a destination and her (or his) arms feel like home. Does anyone else feel like this, or is it just me?
Anyways, enjoy the song :D
Till Next time :-)

I have been watching the Anime classic Akira all day. It is such an awesome film. The world and the plot they create is so interesting and captivating and music to accompany is just brilliant. So unique and captures the post war Neo Japan scene so perfectily
Check it out if you havent seen it. I will gladly lend it to anyone that asks
Enjoy :D

Hi,
I have never tried blogging before, so i thought i might give it a try. I’m not sure if what i have to say is of any interest or value to anyone, but i’ll say it anyway.
I have never liked the idea of people blogging just to complain about their day or share their feelings with the world. I don’t think the internet is the place for that. I would like to blog about things that inspire me and share that with others. I also thought that it might be interesting to share my thoughts on things that i experience. For example: I thought it would be cool for me to give revues on music and movies that i hear or see. As well as plays, theatre and other forms of art and expressions.
Id also like to use this blog to keep people following me posted on things i am up to in the musical world.
I hope you have enjoyed this first post. There will be more to come.
Till next time :-)
